The
Absorbent W water scrubbing system is designed to remove hydrocarbons
from wastewater.
This
system is the most cost-effective way known to quickly and efficiently
remove hydrocarbons from water. Simply pour the oil-water mixture
in the top and within seconds, clear water is coming out the bottom.
| In
repeated tests with diesel, motor oils and gasoline at initial
hydrocarbon levels of 30,000 to over 250,000 ppm, the water
scrubber removed over 99.9% of the hydrocarbons in one quick
pass. (test data available upon request) |
The
water scrubber's performance is based on Absorbent W's unique ability
to absorb oil while repelling water. Absorbent W is a natural fiber
cellulose material that selectively absorbs and retains hydrocarbons.
Water
scrubbers remove oil from water for a fraction of the cost of other
removal systems such as mechanical oil water separators. The light
natural filter (Absorbent W) can also be disposed of by incineration
in the Smart Ash incinerator if the flash point of the oils absorbed
exceeds 100° F.
The
scrubbers come in two standard sizes and are made in Alaska. Custom
systems can also be designed for specific applications.
Both
scrubbers will handle flow rates of up to 600 gals/hr. Time intervals
between filter media changes will vary depending on the viscosity
of the oil and the ppm contamination of the water.
